Mission Project - Back to School Supplies

You are invited to participate in our next local mission project! All summer long we will be collecting back-to-school items for students and teachers. In addition to donating items for students (paper, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, scissors, notebooks, backpacks, etc.), please also consider donating supplies teachers typically purchase for their classroom with their own money-Kleenex, dry erase markers, and hand sanitizer. Please drop items off in the box in the narthex all summer long. When school begins, items will be donated to local schools. Thank you for your support of this project!

The Mission Committee also invites you to add a few items to our Summer collections project! Anne Bettendorf is continuing the yearly project of having her Art students decorate suitcases for foster children who are removed from their homes. These beautifully decorated suitcases give the children a place to put their belongings and contain some basic supplies for them. Hopefully, they provide a small amount of joy in the middle of a difficult time for these children.
 
Items needed for the suitcases are:
     coloring books ● crayons ● toothbrushes ● toothpaste ●   travel-size toiletries
